At the end of a small road bordered of garrigues and cypress-trees, is hiding one of most beautiful cistercians abbeys that could be visited in France : Fontfroide, founded at the end of XIst century; knew a great prosperity which will last during centuries.
Over nearly 300 hectares of garrigues, of wood and ponds, are living more than 3.800 animals.

The Sea and the beaches
All beaches are close :
La Franqui is the family beach. 8 km of fine and gilded sand can welcome you to make "bronzette", to practise the sand yacht or to dream quite simply.
Leucate-plage :
It is a site dominated by a steeped cliff which shelters it from wind. Its sand is famous to be one of the most beautiful of the coast.

Many ideas of walk and visits in the area :
village of Lagrasse, garrigues, mountains, ponds, the "Canal du Midi", oyster beds…Festivals and the secondhand trades in the villages all the summer.

Many regional shopping centers as well as the shoppeople of the town center, welcome you during all the summer in Narbonne, Carcassonne and Perpignan.
They will provide you all which you will need for your purchases for leisures and food.
It is beside Leucate-plage that is the Centre Ostréicole where 40 familian companies produce 800 tons of oysters per year (tasting and sale of oyster on the spot).
